Oh that is good to hear.. thanks for the update!

  4. Hi again Tim (and everyone) - I wanted to add that this evening, I have upgraded my old Norton Firewall (it was an older program with current updates for threats, but not a brand new firewall). I now have Norton Internet Security 2009 and I can finally see the Artfire banners :)

So I’m glad this is working now, but obviously some buyers will not see our shop banners due to the firewall program they may be using.

  5. Hi Tim! Great video… but I wanted to point out to you and everybody that unfortunately, not everyone sees the “shop banner” on Artfire. People that, like me, use Symantec/Norton Firewall (I use IE7 & Firefox browsers and I get the same result) will NOT see any Artfire shop banners, because the Artfire page coding is coding this space as ‘advertising’ and Norton blocks it automatically.

I’ve posted about this in the Artfire forum awhile back, but it doesn’t look like they are going to change this.

I can see Etsy shop banners just fine, but not any of the Artfire banners unless I deactivate my Firewall, and I cannot leave it turned off obviously. So therefore, a lot of buyers do not see the shop banners when they browse Artfire shops.

That’s not very good in my opinion, because banners do help brand our shops…. maybe if more people mention it to Artfire, they might do something about it.

    Cheers,
    Nathalie
