  1. Writing from the slightly chilled, slowly emergent spring of the Okanagan Valley in Beautiful British Columbia , Canada. Im a 30 something self representing artist that works in any medium that feel good to work with at any given time.
Currently I am obsessing over waxed cotton and semiprecious stones, offering through my Etsy store one of a kind wrist cuff bracelets and soon a line of necklaces.
Last year I was crafting felt brooches with hand embroidery and glass beads! The last of which are on sale by the way, hint hint, nudge nudge ;) !

When Im not creating jewelry I am either behind the lens of my camera, in front of a freshly stretched canvas, or bootin’ around on my bicycle!

I have years and years of liberal and visual arts education behind me and a diploma in textile arts and design. I have been selling my own art and jewelry since 2006, and participate in various art shows and art groups in my local community.

Well enough about me, its all about the art. Come visit my page on facebook:

  2. Hello friends, I am the heart and soul behind the little shop The Empty Nest. I started selling on Etsy in Sep. 08. I discovered Etsy by accident and have never looked back. I am amazed at all the creative artists and their shops. I have been creating treasures since I was a young girl. My mom taught me to crochet, I learned to paint as a young mom in Spring, TX. Google and YouTube tutorials taught me to knit and felt and sewing just kind of happened one day. I live in beautiful Virginia and am a New York girl at heart. Wife to a fab husband and mother to two unbelievably handsome and talented guys. Life is very good. I love fabric, especially vintage floral prints. My style tends to be very eclectic..victorian floral alongside folkart acrylics. I love it all. I am currently having a lot of fun repurposing unwanted wool and cashmere sweaters into really adorable childrens clothing and other fashion items. I sometimes work with patterns, however halfway through I often toss the pattern and wing it. Often I do not know what a tote or purse will look like until it is completed..I create as I go. Talk about OOAK! I am also proud to be an official Apronologist, so titled by the new Somerset Studios publication ‘ APRONOLOGY ‘ . They featured one of my many apron creations in their new magazine. I love aprons and am on a mission to put every woman in America in one ;-)

I grew up in a family with an abusive mother and a gentle yet stern father. When he wasn’t home, I kept to myself to be able to keep busy and stay out of my mother’s way. Being intrigued by Highlights magazines for kids, I would often try all sorts of things out of the craft pages to incredible success for a child my age. I did come from a very creative family and so I have always thought that it was just instilled in me at an early age. When I got into elementary school, I was known to make and sell my crafts. I guess you could say that I was an adolescent entrepeneur. I started by making stickers from a sticker machine that my parents had purchased for me for christmas one year. Then when Pogs were popular, I started making my own and selling those. In middle school I began making seedbead hippie flowered necklaces and sold those. I remember always having extra cash at 12 years old which at that age, was rare at my school. Needless to say, I had a lot of friends because I gave discounts to friends then. My fascination of crafting led me to buying many jewelry magazines and books to further discover technique. I loved making jewelry but soon found that it is a hard business to make work in the crafting world mainly for the reason that it is one of the most popular crafts and the market for it is overwhelmed by sellers. So, when I recieved an antique (circa 1906-1910) heirloom singer treadle sewing machine I began to learn about sewing. Since then, I have been on a journey while designing and making my own kawaii hats, plushies, hair accessories, and pillows.

And to this very day I love to create. I feel like I am not accomplishing anything if I am not working with my hands. I love to see something that I have made and be really proud of it. Even more so, I love to see something that I have made, and see it go to a really nice person who really will cherish it or love it the way that I would.

  4. Hi,

We’re twins who love to make and sell things on etsy. It is so much fun! We love to create anything possible with yarn. We knit, crochet, and are beginning to dye yarn. We strive to sell for every member of the family, and every part of life.

( although, we’ll have to admit that babies are our favorite subjects )

Thank you for giving us all this opportunity : )

Thank you for this website. Keep up the good work!
My passion is Santa Claus and anything vintage Christmas. The child within me never grows tired of the wonder and magic of Christmas.
I hand carve basswood Old World Santas with chisels and knives. I also make Victorian style ornaments, candy containers and primitive Santas. I use antique, vintage and distressed materials as much as possible to make my creations appear to have seen their first Christmas 50 to 100 or more years ago.
And, “Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!”

One of the two Etsy shops I have is called: Foret…emporium of the unique

My motto is artisan jewelry and accessories with a sophisticated ethnic flare and a healing touch.

I offer handmade gemstone and sterling silver/14k gold filled jewelry and healing amulets and Tibetan quartz pendulums which are all made with purpose which stems from my parallel careers in art and healing. I also have an Astrology section in my shop and have been a counseling astrologer for over 30 years.

Although there has not been a huge volume of sales so far, I work on making my shop visible, my prices accessible, and my spirit undaunted! One of these days, I sense that I will strike the resonant tone which will vault my shop into hyperdrive!

    Blessings,
    Elizabeth

    I made yarn, by Joyuna
Handspun - hand dyed - handmade
I have a passion for all things fiber. I love knitting, and you will find plenty of handknit gifts in my shop. Currently featured are handknit lavender sachets, which are both attractive and smell wonderful. I also create handspun yarn and dye sock yarn. I really love color and to me dyeing and spinning are just the best thing ever; being able to play with color and texture.

This is another great resource that you have created. My Etsy shop is where I sell photographic prints created using one of the now extinct Polaroid films.
Images are inspired by my travels around Scotland and the rest of Europe - city scapes and small details side by side, flowers and quite a lot of cafes too :)

    Aloha Tim & every1…

I am blessed to live and play on the island of Kauai, Hawaii…My shop is about sharing pieces of this perfect playground with others that they may experience a bit of the peace and tranquility that surrounds us here.

My photos are taken while out and about, whenever an interesting subject or emotion shows itself.

Beach-in-a-Bottle items are about Kauai’s awe-inspiring beaches and being able to send just a small part of those beaches to you ~ My husband and I hand-collect sand, crushed coral, shells(I never collect shells with live critters in them!), sea glass and many other interesting items and bottle them from our home to yours!

I have recently taken up painting and have found it therapeutic and calming… Several ACEOs and other hand-painted gift items that represent a different feeling from Kauai are available…Come visit me ~ I love company and God bless! :D Dava ( treasuresfromhawaii.etsy.com )

Mad Maggie Designs – Designs You’ll Go Mad For

    Handcrafted Custom Artisan Jewelry

I am Leslie Gidden, registered nurse, mom and wife by day…..jewelry designer and artist by night……and naps!

I come from a very talented and artistic family so there has never been a shortage of some “crafting” or creating going on. I have to keep my hands and brain busy. I do this by reading….. A LOT! And creating and designing with just about any media you can name. I am addicted to the creative process and making anything with my hands. Jewelry design and construction is my passion. It is a true labor of love.

I get my inspiration from MANY places. Daily life being the biggest, reading, other artists, different medias, my daughter, friends and family, the beautiful Southeast Missouri scenery…..so many places!

Much of my jewelry is either one-of-a-kind pieces or limited editions.

Thank you! Go forth and Create!!!

  18. Shannon Rea says:

Hi all! My name is Shannon and I live Dayton Ohio. I started my Etsy store about 9 months ago! I create numerous bath and body products that are natural and made from scratch, everyones favorite product is my Unique Sea Sponge Soap(cr). I fell in love with this craft a little over eleven years ago. Having sensitive skin that overreacts to everything is what led me to handcrafting my own products for me and my family and friends. It took my fabulous husband quite awhile to talk me into doing this full time. I love being home with my family. I have four children ages 5 - 15. I keep up with them so much easier now. Check out my etsy shop!

I love Etsy! They have boosted my business and given me the self esteem I needed to feel comfortable online! Business has dropped recently, but at least i can look at the feedback and still get a huge smile on my face:)

Hello! My name is Jill and I grew up in a small town in Maine. My adventurous spirit led me to Seattle where I now spend my time in the mountains or on the water.
I have been making jewelry for as long as I can remember. I love metalsmithing. The sound of the torch, solder flowing from solid to liquid, the transformation of raw metal to beautiful unique art. I work with silver, enamels, beach findings, and various local stones. I am inspired by nature and the art of movement. I use recycled or found objects in my art, no need to deplete the earth’s resources to look good!

Hi. I am a new artist on Etsy. I make beautifully colorful lampworked borosilicate glass marbles, vases, ornaments and pendants. I love
working with borosilicate glass because of its flexibility. If I can imagine it I can build it out of boro! I have been working with the flame to create glass items for over 15 years. I am primarily self taught although I have taken advantage of a couple of classes at The Studio at Corning in Corning, NY over the past 4 years. Please stop by my Etsy store and see if you find sometging you like for yourself or a friend.

    Greetings & Salutations, everyone!

I’m Lisa, shopkeeper for archdiva.etsy.com. I make jewelry, focusing on sterling silver wire creations and other beaded goodness. While I’m new to selling on Etsy, I’ve been crafting and beading for years, but love making jewelry the most.

The most unique items in my shop are sterling silver wire pendants in the shape of vulvae, sperm and splooge! I’m starting a metalsmithing class soon to enhance these and other creations, too!

A portion of my sales proceeds are donated to Planned Parenthood and the BACCHUS Network, two organizations that have played important roles in my life. I’m also a member of the Etsy for Charity Team.

Stop by my shop when you have a moment!

    Hello world *waves hello*

My little corner of Etsy is illustrations and photos I have collected and made over the years. Even though they are reproductions prints, they are digitally printed onto hard substrates such as wood and hardboard panels. This gives them a “one off original” look which is very appealing. My future plans consist of expanding into a more of a “found object” substrates. I feel it will give a much more unique and original look to the art.

  29. My name is Darcey Lyn and I have a jewellery shop on Etsy (http://RockYourWire.Etsy.com). I work with sterling silver and copper and love the freedom of expression that is creativity. Today I have learned how to fuse sterling silver, so my studio bench is covered in little circles of every sort! 30. Kiran says:

Hi All, I’m Kiran and I’m from Birmingham…the one in England, where apparently the people have really strong thick sounding accents…thank god for the Internet. So what do I love……… rain, chocolate, people and long sunny days clouds watching, so sad I know.
My Etsy shop can be found here http://www.kjmakes.etsy.com

  31. CJ Grand says:

I’ve had a shop on Etsy for a little over a year now. I started out with gemstone and Swarovski crystal jewelry but lately I’ve shifted to Steampunk. I love this genre and have had so much fun with it. I am also a costumer so I’ve had a wonderful time creating steampunk costumes as well.

I use a lot of vintage watch parts, keys and found items to create my jewelry. I love to pull old things apart and make something new and beautiful out of them. I consider myself a watch rehabilitator. A watch’s only reason to exist, be it a wrist watch or pocket watch, is to tell time. When it can no longer tell time it has no more reason to exist, which is very sad. I have taken pity on these poor broken watches and given them new purpose by rehabilitating them into wearable art.

Please check out my Etsy shop for some unique and unusual items.

  32. Emily says:

My name is Emily (nullalux on Etsy and Twitter), and my Etsy shop is Theriaca Fina (http://nullalux.etsy.com/).

    ——-
What is she building in there?

Theriaca fina (literally, “fine treacle”) is an anachronistic antidote for that which ails our age. Theriaca, originally invented as an antidote against snake venom and later used as a preventative panacea, was a medical concoction made of opium, flesh of viper and a large number of other ingredients. Treacle comes from the Greek term theriaka, which refers to ancient bestiaries about dangerous beasts and their bites. The production of a proper theriaca took months with all the collection and fermentation of herbs and other ingredients, and it took years to mature.

I spend long hours in my laboratory, crafting neo-Victorian steampunk curiosities from found objects and antiquities. My workshop contains antique brass pipework, gears and springs, organs and specimens in various liquid-filled jars or terrariums, whimsical iron birdcages, countless sepia photographs and well-worn journals, and all manner of clockworks. There’s a row of ominous-looking bottles holding various chemicals and solutions, and a shelf filled with the compasses, dials, and gauges used to maintain precise control over the elements.

All materials are cruelty-free; where animal products are used (leather, felt, etc.), they come from recycled sources.
